Diogenesister: Your points are very well made; however, I noted this in paragraph eight of today's lesson:
"It is not surprising, then, that sexual abuse can cause lasting harm. How evil this crime is!"
LV101: You are welcome and correct!
THANKS!
... will they take it upon themselves to warn their bible studies of pedophile activity in the congregations so they can protect their children, or will the cycle of abuse continue with the attitude of letting new ones take their chances along with the rest of us?.

For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,
Which spreads out its roots by the river,
And will not fear when heat comes;
But its leaf will be green,
And will not be anxious in the year of drought,
Nor will cease from yielding fruit.

A mondegreen is a word or phrase that results from mishearing or misinterpreting a statement or song lyric. Also known as an oronym.
The term mondegreen was coined in 1954 by American writer Sylvia Wright and popularized by San Francisco Chronicle columnist Jon Carroll. The term was inspired by "Lady Mondegreen," a misinterpretation of the line "hae laid him on the green" from the Scottish ballad "The Bonny Earl o Moray."

horror is easily my favourite genre of movie so i just thought i'd start a thread on it.. horror can be done badly and there are plenty of crap horror movies, no doubt about that.
but horror can also be done very well, too - often on a low budget.. plus, there are quite a lot of subgenres - slasher, supernatural, monster movies, body horror, psychological horror, zombie, vampire, etc.. so, do you like horror?.
what's your favourite subgenre?.

I'm so sorry, dearest daughter of Vienne. Your mother and I corresponded a few times. She was an impeccable scholar and a fine lady.
i am still enjoying the luxury of weekends to do whatever i want....but....out of habit i am still obsessed with looking at the weather for saturday mornings.
rain on a saturday morning was a very rare treat and we got the morning off, although as group leader, i still had to go to the group just in case somebody turned up.. does anybody else still watch the weekend forecast with interest?
(i am aware that this is probably a uk thing as we are obsessed with the weather ha ha).
SNOW on Sunday? No meeting several weekends in a row.
